A fair and equitable competitive tax and fee structure.
An integrated K-20 public education system funded by taxpayers, students and benefactors meeting the needs of communities, regions, and Wisconsin as a whole.
A lean, effective government bureaucracy that can move swiftly and surely when asked.
A crime and punishment system that is as fair to victims and taxpayers as it is to criminals. One that includes immediate intervention and treatment for criminals addicted to alcohol or other drugs. Respect for the rule of law.
Natural resource management that includes oversight, research, intervention, and partnerships with landowners and citizen groups.
A well-maintained and adequate highway system for the smooth flow of traffic throughout the state.
Water resources oversight and care in management.
Careful urban development with disincentives for “sprawl” and incentives for inner-city private and public development.
Appropriate state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities and facilities.
Improvement of the state jobless rate which just went above the national average for the first time in many years.
Attention to practical alternative fuel/energy research, production and consumption including biomass (ethanol, bio-diesel), wind, hydroelectric, and nuclear.
Improving family relationships including support for parents of young children, support for families before, during and after divorce or other separation. Intervention for sexually active singles focusing on the devastating consequences of “casual sex.”
A carefully crafted well-designed system of health care.
A proliferation of the use of endowments as an alternative strategy to “tax and spend.”
An agriculture and manufacturing-friendly culture that takes advantage of the innate motivations of Wisconsin citizens to be productive.
